COCONINO

Founded in 2000, Coconino Press takes its name from the county in which Krazy Kat by George Herriman, one of the first comic book masterpieces, is set. In its existence, it has changed the perception of the graphic novel in our country, with the greatest Italian names, such as Gipi, Davide Reviati, Manuele Fior, Paolo Bacilieri, publishing masters such as Pazienza, Mattioli, Scòzzari, Buzzelli, Altan and being the first to give space to international authors destined to become classics, such as Daniel Clowes, Charles Burns, Chris Ware, David Mazzucchelli, Jiro Taniguchi, Kazuo Kamimura, Manu Larcenet, David B., Emmanuel Guibert. Coconino Press always puts stories first, and in recent years has set itself the task of bringing readers what they do not yet expect: comics that expand the grammar of storytelling, immersed in the most fertile contemporary artistic research. Recently, the publishing house has further expanded its focus on Japan and strengthened its manga production, published under the new Doku brand.
